Hi,
I have 8 computers with exactly the same hardware, and so I instaled Xp and
other software in 1 of them and ghosted the other 7, all fine, but now i need
to change the XP key to validate the licences (genuine off course), I've
tried Keyupdate tool from microsoft, and it gives me an error...
I've do it before wtih no problems, but this time I have XP pro SP2C
Any help?

Thanks

I've tried but doesn't work... It gives me an error.
Thank you

Is the image you loaded from also SP2C? SP2C product keys AFAIK are NOT
compatible with SP2 and below, they will only work on an SP2C installation,
at least that's the impression I was under, if I'm wrong I will be
corrected.

Guess I misread the OP's post.

AFAIK there is NO difference between SP2 and SP2C
codewise. C was created because of the need for more
keycodes. Maybe this will help:

Have a look at the timestamps of the files on the XP
discs.
The XPSP2c discs have a timestamps of 27/07/2007 22:30
or later
Whereas an older SP2 disc will have timestamps of
04/08/2004 22:30

I don't know why C would be the cause of any error
message; so far no experience with problems.

Regards,

Pop`

I quote from http://oem.microsoft.com/downloads/public/seo/winxp_sp2c.htm

There are no other features or fixes included in this service pack; it will
only allow for the inclusion of additional product keys. When using SP2c
product keys:

The keys must be used with SP2c media.
New images must be created to accommodate the new product keys.
System builders who use imaging will be required to create a new image from
the SP2c release. A hot-fix will not be provided.

That implies to me that SP2 and SP2C keys are NOT interchangeable.
