For some time now on my Xp SP3 machine the registry settings for some of my fonts gets changed and then my display becomes "off".
It normally happens with my arial fonts tho others have been changed.
I have searched high and low and can't find a similar problem or solution.
The settings are normally
Value Name
AdobeArabic-Bold (OpenType)
Value Data
AdobeArabic-Bold.otf
is how it should read. But mine will have
Value Data
C:\Windows\Fonts\AdobeArabic-Bold.otf
I opened coreldraw and it said the baltimore normal font was missing and to replace it with C:\Program Files\Broderbund\more directory stuff\ font name.
However when I looked the font was right there in the windows/fonts directory and didn't need to be replaced in corel.
I have to edit the registry and put them right. Save. and reboot. Then things look right again for some time. THen it just seems to happen.
Its driving me crazy so hope someone can help.
