XP Pro SP2 hangs on boot

After we have installed a new machine and log in with a normal user to create
the profile we get logged out and the profile is created. If we log in again
and then restart the computer the boot hangs at the black logo screen after
that the progress bar has gone about 3,5 passes.
If we reboot to safe mode and then restart it boots ok. If we log on with
the same usr account agin the same error will occur.
Works fine with an administrative account.

We have so far only spotted this problem on IBM/Lenovo Thinkcentre
M52(8113-D1G). Is there any way to log what's happening this early at boot.
Tried /bootlog in boot.ini but it doesn't seem to show much.

What happens when you create and use another account with
administrative privileges?

You will have more than one ntuser.dat file i.e one for each user
including the Default and the Administrator. How large is the one for
the User Profile you are using to access your computer?

Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and
verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked
and "Hide protected operating system files " is unchecked. You may need
to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that
the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
Next in Windows Explorer make sure View, Details is selected and then
select View, Choose Details and check before Name, Type, Total Size, and
Free Space.

Hope this helps.
