I have installed two separate copy of XP Pro on separate SATA/IDE drives. I
used to be able to dual boot into either and each copy was distictively
different. I installed Ubuntu Linux on the 2nd (IDE) hdd and now whenever I
try to boot into the copy of XP on the IDE drive, it boots into the copy on
the SATA hdd instead.
In short, if I boot into the sata copy (first hdd C then everything is
just fine.
If I boot into the IDE copy (2nd hdd F then it's the sata copy that's run,
but the default hdd showing in windows explorer is 2nd hdd F:.
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Pro -
Regular" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Pro -
Backup" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
Can someone tell me if the boot.ini is correct? Thanks very much!
