I use a Dell desktop computer with a US robotics 56K external modem........older model but just out of the box. It appears to be working properly. I have a dedicated fax line. I have been trying to fax with Window XP online faxing and am having difficulties. At the moment every fax I attempt to send comes back "no dial tone" but if I call that same fax receiving number on my land line, I get a dial tone and a fax connection.
This is now on EVERY fax I attempt to send no matter where in the USA I try to send a fax. I have been able to fax prior to this problem which just start a few days ago. I have a number of faxes to send and I need to resolve this quickly. I have done the unplug and plugin again routine. I have reinstalled the modem. I need help. Thanks
