I want to upgrade a second computer to xp home. I have the upgrade disk and
the Product Key.

The first computer (already upgraded) is at my second home in another state,
so I don't have access to the Product ID off that first computer (didn't
realize it existed, let alone that I would need it).

Tried to purchase additional license on Microsoft website, but it asks for
the Product ID, not the Product Key.

Any way I can buy additional license with the Product Key but without the
Product ID? This is a real hassle.

Why not just go to a store and buy a new upgrade? Your not gonna save much
doing it a different way.

The difference in price is $15.00. Why should I pay more when I qualify for
the lower price? It's the principle. But, I'll probably end of doing just
that out of frustration.

The difference would be priceless if the one and only Windows XP cdrom
were to get inconveniently lost right at the time when a file is needed.

Is there anyone at the other location who could start up the computer,
make note of the product i.d. code, and email or phone you the
information?
