Thanks for your response. I understand what you are saying and it makes
sense. However, after messing around with the issue a little more I learned
something. The act of clearing the recent files was not the culprit. Even if
I do not clear the files but just hit the OK button to exit the screen you
would be in in order to clear the files causes the same event. The screen
freezes up, even to the point where I receive and "Not Responding" message,
then that initial screen will disappear after nearly a minute only to have to
repeat the same process when hitting th OK button on the initial Start button
menu.
