Hello,

We have several XP SP clients in our network that have a lot of following
entries in their eventlog. I'm trying to determine the cause for these but
have been unable to get any definitive answers so far (by googlin' etc...).

Here are the events:

Event ID1030 in the Application log

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1030
Description: Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A
message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the
policy engine. For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://support.microsoft.com.

And Event ID 40961 in the system log

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: LSASRV
Event Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40961
Date: 2007-06-28
Time: 10:02:43
User: N/A
Computer: MyPC
Description:
The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server
ldap/servername.dom.com/dom.com@dom.com. No authentication protocol was
available. (server&domain name changed my ME)

We have one W2K3 R2 Domain Controller and one W2K SP4 DC. It seems to me
that all Group policies are applied to clients. All clients can log to
domain and use network resources normally. (Although some network apps like,
Lotus Notes, seem to be little more unstable now.) What worries me most is
the statement "No authentication protocol was available". What protocol is
this and why it's not avalable? Any idea?

I'd appreciate all hints. Thanks
-Will
