Hi all,
When I switch on my PC, it start-up to a point where I get a "blank white" screen, (just before the Windows start-up screen appear). I must switch off the machine and switch it back on again, it starts up and a screen appear: Safe Mode; Command Prompt etc. with white letters. "Start Windows Normally" is highlighted, then I must wait for 30 sec, then Windows start up. During the countdown of the 30 sec, I must not press "Enter", then the whole procedure repeat itself, I must wait until the 30 sec are done, then Windows start-up normally. Even when I had to "restart" the PC during the Windows session the same problem came up. Once Windows is started up, I can carry on working without any problems. This problem came up ±2 weeks ago.
Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP 3
Computer: Laptop, Acer 1410
RAM: 750Mb
HDD: 60GB (Split in two) C; D
Please help, this is frustrating and I'm scared to damage the HDD.
Regards
