We recently updated some of our Domain Controllers to Server 2008 RC2. Since then we have seen a good amount of our XP clients especially at remote locations take 20 to 30 minutes to login. They will sit at “applying personal settings”. After it boots up it is fine. This isn’t affecting our Windows 7 computers. We first thought it was Symantec endpoint causing an issue so we upgraded to the latest version which helped a little. I’ve noticed out on many forums this is an issue. Looks like a SMB problem. Any suggestions to help alleviate this issue?
