As IE is no longer supported for XP, i'm unsure why anyone would continue to use it? My browser of choice is Firefox. However, if you use Windows, you also get IE and as far as i know, it shouldn't be removed from your system. I suspect IE will still be used under the covers for things MS updates (although we shouldn't be getting them for XP). I'm wondering if just having IE on my system poses a danger and if so, what can be done about it?
Also, will the Windows firewall continue to be maintained by MS? If not, this will become an exposure and i'm wondering what others have done to alleviate this exposure?
