Cannot get my wordpad to work. Getting 16 bit ms-dos subsystem error
message.
C:\documents and settings\all users\start
menu\programs\accessories\wordpad.ink.
C:docume~1\jd4\locals~1\temp\. A temporary file needed for initalization
could not be created or could not be written to. Any help appreciated.

Hello,

This may be a sign of impending hard disk failure or malware infection.
Backup your data if you haven't.

After backing up your data, perform a Disk Cleanup (Start > Programs >
Accessories, System tools, Disk cleanup)

Check for malware using SuperAntiSpyware www.superantispyware.com - it is
free

If the problem persists, go to Start > Run > CHKDSK c: /F > OK > Y

Restart your system for the check to proceed.

I'm having the identical problem with any 16 bit dos program. Getting
frustrated. Anybody got the solution?

To JNB.
Don't hijack another posting to tell us 'ME TOO', that is a 4 yr old's reponse.
Either wait for a solution to be posted or start your own post, with details of the problem.
