I had this problem with one of my computers now it’s on the other. Looking
for some help. When I try to start up word or send a message in outlook I get
a box that looks like something is being uploaded and a message that says
“Word is currently recovering your documents†then another message says “Word
failed to start correctly last time….†Then “Do you want to start in safe
mode?†Is this a Bug, Worm, Virus or something you can help me with? Any help
would be appreciated.

Already tried the following;
Open Word:-

1]On the Help menu, click Detect and Repair.

To restore the program shortcuts to the Windows Start menu, make sure
the Restore my shortcuts while repairing check box is selected.

2]Click Start.

I also removed XP and reloaded it and the problem is still there

Thanks,

John

You "removed XP"? You mean you reformatted and reinstalled Windows XP and
Office? That can't be what you mean... Really?

This isn't an Office newsgroup, and you'll likely get much better answers if
you post to one of those, but whenever I have a problem with Office, the
first thing I do is locate the file named NORMAL.DOT and delete it. If you
want to know *why* that works, ask them over in the Office NGs.
