I really need help here guys.

I use WMP on my home network to stream media to my PS3 so I can watch
all my downloaded content through it, I use it daily so is a very
valuable piece of software to me.

A couple of days ago however it just stopped working, I mean literally.
When trying to open a media file that's associated with WMP or launch
the program via shortcut or directly through the .exe nothing happens,
no error message no nothing. With it not starting it's also denying
file sharing to the PS3!

The only thing on my system that had changed prior to this happening
was an installation of a new driver for my Logitech webcam, I wasn't
sure why this would have any effect but through process of elimination
I've restored the system to numerous dates prior to the driver install
and it hasn't made any difference.

When trying to research this error myself I've noticed 1 or 2 people
with similar but not identicial problems on google and to my surprise
when accessing task manager WMPlayer.exe is running, i end it and then
can start the program as normal, however it's now reporting an error
"Media sharing has been turned off because a required windows setting
or component has changed". I have no idea why this is happening and
also when I now attempt to add anything to the WMP libary it's not
saving the DIR's I point it at. It seems that WMP is goosed.

Does anyone know why I need to kill the session in task manager
everytime I boot up and why I'm having problems with the media sharing
option? I've tried installing all windows updates this morning
(including Service Pack 1) and it's not helping at all.

Would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

Matt
