Our office uses PSION IKON scanners for scanning our inventory assets each year. We are in the process of updating all computers to Windows 7 from XP. ActiveSync 4.5 gave us absolutely no problems connecting, but with WMDC, we are having to make sure that the scanner can get to the internet, even though WMDC may say the device is connected. Is this something we are doing wrong or what? ActiveSync 4.5 would open a window as soon as the scanner was set on the cradle connected to the computer via USB connection. WMDC is not doing that either. You have to open WMDC by clicking on the entry in Programs. Our IKONs are running WinMobile 6.1.
