I am having trouble logging in to my laptop from my desktop PC over our wireless network. Other PC and wireless printers are connected OK to the network.
The Vaio laptop ( windows 8.1) shows up on the desktop, but login is unsuccessful- When I click on the Vaio icon a 'Connect to Vaio' login box appears.
For login username I entered the laptop account name
Login password I entered the laptop account sign in password ( and also tried the Homegroup password as a second attempt.).
No error message appears, but the login box stays put /returns after hitting the enter key.
I am guessing these are not the correct entries for the process? I'm not sure where to go from here.
The desktop (Windows XP Professional SP3) shows up on the laptop, but the folder display is empty.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
