Windows XP Professional User Account Security

This is a home computer, used in a Workgroup. I set up my account first, as
a Computer Administrator. Then I set up my wife's account, also as a
Computer Administrator. I can use and access all folders and programs w/out
error. My wife cannot. When she tries to open c:\Program Files, she gets a
File Not Accessible error window. I have, via Windows "User Accounts",
deleted her account completely. I ran EasyCleaner to wipe out any extraneous
registry keys. I've rebooted the PC. Then I added another new Computer
Administrator account, using a completely unique name. Rebooted and opened
the new account, and I get a "Please wait wile Windows is being configured"
window. C:\Program Files is still not accessible. I have a feeling that I
messed up a security setting somewhere, but I don't know where.

Any ideas?

Is this Windows XP Home or XP Pro?

Is this a brand new installation that you just now made? After using a
rgistry cleaner there is no saying what that thing broke or what other
problems might crop up later on. If it is a new install I reccomend
that you do another clean reinstall and not use registry cleaners on the
installation!

Is their a clue in the subject line?
 
Oops! Missed that!

In that case the OP can easily check the security settings on the folder
by right clicking on it and selecting the security tab. To see the
security tab "Simple File Sharing" (in the Folder Options) has to be
disabled.
