I have a toshiba lap top and i keep getting the blue screen with the error
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

i have tried safe mode, last known, every thing , i aslo tried to make a
boot disk but i do not have a floppy drive only a cd rom. what can i do
????????? I do not have the disk to reinstall i bought the computer used

Help please

I can not et passed the blue screen to do anything , i get the black screen
with options of safe mode and ect

Go to Toshiba site, then select support for your specific model to determine
what recovery software was origonally supplied. Then call support & see if
you can buy that recovery media.

You might try Western Digital site for their testing utility, you can create
a bootable cd, with which you may be able to test your hard disk
PS MS doesnt support OEM software, which your Tosh has
