I am running a free trial of Zonelabs Antivirus, and I find it is unable to
scan any part of my computer which uses the built-in encryption. This is
unacceptable, as I direct the Temporary Internet Files from the browser to an
encrypted area. My Google search did not turn up other users with this
problem. Am I the only one aware of it? I wouldn't know if I had not
downloaded a safe Viral test program and placed it in various areas on the
computer.

My question is: Does anyone know of any anti-virus software which works with
this version of XP?

Perhaps you are asking the wrong question? Maybe you need to find
encryption software that works with your Anti-Virus program? I
highly recommend you try the freeware "Truecrypt" over Windows
Encrypted File System (EFS). If you haven't backed up your EFS
encryption certificate, it won't be long before you can't access any
of your data at all... Truecrypt also makes it much easier to move
encrypted data among machines / and USB drives. It will co-exist
with EFS.
