Please Help!! Needed to do a factory restore on my 10 year old Compaq Presario as it was so slow and lots of rubbish. Used the two Emachines Restore CDs that came with the computer from new. Now Windows XP Home Edition 2002 will not boot at all. Have
tried all modes including Safe Mode. I would assume that now the registry is corrupt following the restore. The Windows Xp obviously came installed from new and have no windows set up disks to install. Can anyone help me to get the system up and running
again or advise what cause of action is needed. Would assume that I will need to boot from CD/DVD drive so hoping there is a disk available. I have the original product key details on side of processor to validate legitate software. Chris
