windows updates. Ive tryed everything. Anybody know?

My computer pops up and says windows cant check for updates so i have not had an update in a while. Also AGV2012 is in my programs and i cant uninstall them it wont let me and now it has my Norton messed up to where it wont work. Ant ideas anyone. THANKS
