I am logged in as local administrator. I try to run windows update and I get "error number 0x800A0046".
I work as a computer technician, so I feel pretty comfortable following a simple step-by-step windows support article. I have followed all of the steps from this microsoft support article:

The article tells me to check several settings, but I could find no configuration problems in any of the areas that it instructed me to check.
I ran the Fixit tool and it told me "Windows Update components must be repaired" , then the fix that was applied supposedly "Succeeded"
HOWEVER, I am still getting exactly the same error when I try to run Windows Updates. Yes, I have rebooted.
I should also mention that all other computer functions seem to be running normally. The only thing that is failing is Windows Updates.
