WINDOWS UPDATE SETTINGS IS GREYED OUT - NEED TO ABORT WINDOWS UPDATE - EMERGENCY HELP?
The last time Windows did an automatice update last year it caused me a blue screen and I lost all of my files. ... I've had Updated turned off since I got it fixed but still lost my files from before. HOWEVER... Today suddenly I get a pop up window stating
the Updates are done and to restart automaticlly or Set to later. It pops up every 15 minutes.... I tried to reset the setting but the setting is greyed out. I don't know what to do... I can't stay up all night. How do I stop these updates and possibly
loose everything again. I don't have money for a backup hard drive... plust most of my importing info is in emails Outlook Express and it's next to impossiible to restore OE. HELP???
