Hello,
I recently reset my Windows 8 computer (using the reset functions included in the software).
Now, after the (first) reset, I encountered many problems. Windows Update wouldn't work at all, I couldn't get into "Change PC Settings" from the charms menu at the right. I tried many solutions and none of them worked. The last solution I tried was chkdsk, however it wouldn't get past 27% (after leaving it for literally hours) so I had no choice but to turn it off. After this, I booted back into Windows to see boot had failed. Luckily I had a thumb drive with a boot iso. I reset the computer once again. So I got back into Windows and started to update Windows. The first update worked. However, at the time of writing this article I cannot install further updates, install Windows 8.1 or start Defender. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joshua.
P.S. Prior to the first reset I faced no problems. I simply reset because my PC had become too cluttered.
