Hi all
Given that this version of the 2003 server is getting reasonably visible on
the Microsoft site, I was disappointed to read that it was seen purely as a
server.

I hoped it would run Windows Media Center, I would really like a one machine
solution to deal with all my business whilst away. It would be nice to ask
this program to do all my TV recording without leaving a Desktop running.
Also it seems a server rather than client role to service XBOX machines.
..
I would be grateful to hear if it would run XP Media Server, or perhaps as a
compromise,, would run side by side under Virtual Machine with a Vista Home
Premium system that could do this work

If you are looking for the best blend of the two, look to Vista Ultimate...

I will tell you that it is not usually a good idea to ever blend business
and pleasure, even in computers -- for both the stability and the tax
purposes.
