Windows Mobile 6.5 ActiveSync doesn't work after certificate update

I have an HTC Touch 2 that was previously configured for Exchange Activesync and was working properly until I had to update the certificate on the Exchange server and the phone. The error I get on the phone is support code 0x80072F17. From my research, this error means that my certificate is not trusted and I need to install my root cert on the phone. I did this and it still doesn't work. Per some other forums, I rebuilt the ActiveSync Virtual Directory to no avail. I also use the Microsoft Testexchangeconnectivity website and the ACtiveSync test passes. Right now I'm at a loss. This same certificate is working fine on a bunch of iPhones, it's just this lone Windows Mobile device that doesn't work.
