Windows media player codecs

I have codecs through vlc mediaplayer but rather play it through windows
media player if possible... i was wondering how to import them into the media
player, i thought it would automatically detect them but it didn't.. Any
advice would be helpful

It doesn't. Perhaps you could get the codecs you need throuh some of the
various codec packs out there - like KLite Codec Pack...
