Good afternoon:
I am still having problems with my windows installer even after performing a clean boot and deleting all files that were no longer needed and after downloading a new Windows Installer 4.5 for xp off the Windows Downloads website.
Constantaly a dialog box keeps reappearing from the moment I turn on my computer and I cannot get rid of it, which makes working with this computer difficult. The box states "Windows Installer" "Preparing to Install"
After other attempts to get rid of this irritation I did get only one dialogue box that stated "Error1719 Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if Windows Installer is not correctly installed"
I tried to go back to another restoration date on my PC, however, the calender does not appear in the restoration dialogue box so I am unable to arrange another restoration date.
If anyone has any knowledge that can help me with this it would sure be appreciated.
