Hi.

Because of the rules at my school, Our computers had to be reset completely before we could take them home as Our own property. The thing is that beforehand, I made a system image (backup) on an external hard drive so that I could recover my PC and make it the way it was.

Anyway, the thing is that now when I try to recover from an image, the PC fails to see my hard drive. I did Select the option for "restore by system image" in the Control panel and rebooted from there. Next I Select "Select a system image" and press Next. The list comes up With nothing, so I try to refresh it and nothing happens. It tells me to install correct drivers and the system32 folder pops up. I navigate through to Computer where it shows the local memory units, however my HDD isn't anywere to be seen, which seems likely when it didn't recognize my HDD earlier.

I don't see why I would need drivers for the hard drive when it Works perfectly when I use it after a regular boot, so why isn't it accessible during a recovery boot?

If it matters, my PC is an HP ProBook 4330s (no CD-Rom) and the HDD is a Seagate Expansion Portable Drive 500 GB USB 3.0.

PS: I Write this from the top of my head since I obviously can't use my PC for writing here while I'm trying to recover, so there might be details I've left out.
