I get this message when I try to open video (avi) files in one of my document
folders. Also, Windows Media Player no longer burns my CDs and when I try to
burn videos on other software, the folders transfer, but they're empty.

Message: Windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for any inconvenience.

It runs this message then just closes everything.

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer 6.0.2900.3156
ModName unknown ModVer 0.0.0.0.
offset 00000000

I ran various antivirus programs and although they found a few "problems",
cleaning didn't help. Also...I tried to run the "sfc/scannow", but it never
actually starts. The RUN window just closes!

Help!!!

The problem is usually a codec problem.Remove the codecs you have on and
install a codec pack from free codecs .com and hopefully the conflict should
be resolved. LOZ http://www.free-codecs.com/
