Hello all. This problem is making me more frustrated by the minute and I hope that at least one of you can help me with this dilemma.

Last night, Windows automatically updated onto my system - no problems there. Now, for some odd reason, whenever I try to boot my system up, everything proceeds as normal, then there's a very brief flash of blue screen before my system inexplicably resets. Now it seems to be in an endless loop of me trying to do a system restore - where I keep getting a "rstrui.exe - Application Error" message (the exact specifics are: "The instruction at 0xfc07ca53 referenced memory at 0x0045af9b. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.") - and resetting the system trying to get it boot properly.

I've disconnected all the storage drives, and I think it's quite telling that the system repair pulls up every drive except the drive that actually has Windows installed, even when I have disabled every other drive in the system. As you may surmise, this has me more than a little disconcerted as I just built my PC not even 2 weeks ago.

Can anyone provide assistance? Or will I have to bite it and reinstall Windows 7?
