After every Windows update, when I try to log onto the internet using IE10, I cannot connect to any site. Instead, I receive a "Waiting for" message that lasts as long as the browser is open. I am using Windows 8.
I tried rebooting, disabling and re-enabling the network adapter, and uninstalling the updates which provides temporary relief. However, after a brief period in which I am able to connect to the internet, the problem returns. Troubleshooters and anti-virus software report no problems.
The last batch of updates numbered over 50, so uninstalling them and reloading each manually is not a practical option. Also, since this problem occurs every time the updates are loaded, I am hoping someone can help to point me in the direction of a permanent fix.
