I bought a Samsung laptop last year. I had no choice but to buy one with Windows8 - what a disaster!
I have a WD hard drive with a capacity of 1.8tb which is permanently attached to my laptop apart from the odd hour or two when I use the laptop away from my desk.
I set up file history to back up my files automatically, and every day it tells me it has done so. However, last night I checked the contents of the hard drive and found to my horror there were NO files backed up from this laptop, only the files from my old one. There was one folder dated 2014, but it was empty.
Can you advise what I need to do to get back up to work properly? I use Outlook for my mail, so it is important for me to back up my pst file as well as the usual documents and photos.
