The install looked like it went well and it goes to the first page defining personal settings. After that the screen goes blank and the machine locks up. The only way out of it is to power down and re-boot. When re-booting it comes all the way up until
it is time to display the desktop and the same thing happens. I have installed Win 7 and UBUNTU and they work fine. It is just Win 8 that craps out. I would like to install an updated driver for Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS but how do you do that without a screen.
This machine is an HP IQ506 with 4G of Ram, 500G HD and a core 2 Duo T5850 chip. Im about ready to trash can 8 and go to UBUNTU.
