Hi, This issue started with the updates last week after the updates, when I restart my computer with widows 7 home premium x64 bit it boots to black screen and sits there, harddrive not active, or it boots to the try to repair or run windows normally options.
The repair doesn't work and fianlly after it is doen my computer just shuts down. The restart windows normally was working (till today) to at least get my computer up and usable. Also at the same time internet explorer 9 started not being able to be used,
I launch it, then it closes saying a program prevented it from running. Sometime would work if I reopened it. Today I tried to restore my computer to before the updates as I am pretty sure I had an interrupted update which is now causing booting issue for my computer. But it didn't help, tried downloading some update agai to see, but since it won't reboot properly
the updates fail? I have nearly everything I could find (sfc, various fix it tools, checked various registry spots, reset IE9, the fix it on my computer, readiness tool xs2, and something else) and had to restore my computer twice to get to my desktop and
be able to use it. I can't find a single tool to check for incomplete update fragments or registry error it could have caused? There are a few other things listed here, but I didn't know what the carroot folder and other do or controll and didn't want to further mess anything up? (did options 1 - doesn't restart right, 2, 3, and 5 - there wasn't any of those) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2509997?wa=wsignin1.0 Can anyone help or shead some light as to how to find/fix whatever is going on. It was fine till these updates, and due to the restores I have no error codes, just one screen showing failed on my phone, and one thing showing a few items fixed, but they didn't
help.Debra
