Windows 7 updates fail after Microsoft Security Essentials install.

Ever since I installed Microsoft Security essentials (months ago), the security updates fine, but all my other Microsoft Updates fail everytime. I have run the trouble shooter ect, it always says its fixed, but the updates still fail. Any suggestions?
