Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Not Installing

I tried to install Windows 7 SP1 but it keeps failling with the error code 800B0100. I tried Microsoft fixit, clean boot and the standalone update. I even tried System update readiness which said it found some hotfix update, which when trying to install
never finishes. Help would be appreciated.
