Hi,
I have been experiencing this problem for actually almost 2 years (on two different laptops, both with Windows 7):
I save a file by clicking at the appropriate icon, often however leaving the files open till tomorrow (though not always).
Well, when that tomorrow comes, yesterdays version is nowhere: not on My Documents, not in Wastebasket nor on the menory stick where I nowadays save my stuff. This certainly does not occur daily but several times a month.
I haven't asked about this previously as I tend to think that Windows cannot have such a terrible flaw but I can...
This time I am a full 100% certain that I saved the work I did on Friday and again on Saturday (actually nowadays I never close for a day without saving changes even if I leave the file open), but ALAS! only versions of 26.6.2014 are to be seen.
This is more than serious as I handle students results at a University!!!!!!!!!!! And it has caused immense amount of extra work, trying to understand which corrections or updates actually are on the last version which is found....and which changes or updates have disappeared into the thin air.
Has anyone experienced the same? Is there any way of eventually recovering these files?
