I'm trying to use Windows Update on a windows 2003 Standard server SP2. I am unable to install ANY Security update - even one at a time. Update.exe uses almost all of the CPU, while LSASS.EXE utilizes pretty much the remainder. I've tried the MS FIXIT
for this solution. It tells me it discovered and fixed "Windows Update Components", but it still doesn't work. I run the FIXIT again, and it finds the same problem and tells me it is fixed, ad infinitum. All non-"Security" updates are installed successfully.
