Within the past week, something happened to my Browser. There was some type of Microsoft Update that changed my Brower opening page from Comcast XFINITY to MSN. At the same time, the favorites bar on the left side
of my screen disappeared. At the same time, My wife machine was upgrade somehow and she can no longer access her mail account at work. I am not sure what other change might have been made. I am attempting to find out if anyone else has/had the same problem. Someone
suggested that I look to see if the most recent updates completed successfully completed. We can get to the Webmail long in screen. We enter ID and Password but the system just gives us the message "running" but not connection.

After the update/upgrade ( to IE I believe) or whatever it is called that changed my home page/favorites etc. ( and my wife's), when we typed in the url we just get a message at the top of the screen that it is "running" but nothing completes/ happens (
other then the messages continues to say running).

We had run into a similar problem with accessing Hotmail in Jan, after an update of some fashion. We were advised to try Firefox to access and it worked. Yesterday, I tried to access the webmail via firefox and it worked. I then tried IE but I still get
the "running" indicator when we enter the ID and Passwork.

I had previously gotten this recommendation when I had entered the Windows 8 Forum ( incorrectly).

""""You may be able to identify the one you suspect by the date it was applied (and you believe your problems began). You will need the KB number to discuss it. e.g. (KB 1234567) Most likely it was an update to Internet
Explorer, either a Security or performance update."""

""" Notice whether the update was successfully applied. While you are in System, click on "Check for Updates" to see if there are any not yet applied. A new batch came out today, I believe."""
