Win Update And Audio Icon Dissapeared

Today I did a Windows Update and after the required reboot the audio icon in
the system tray has dissapeared.

How can I get it back?

XP Pro, brought up to date daily, Dell Latitude D505 lpatop, 512M, Pentium
M.

Rebooted one more time and the audio icon reappeared. Everything seems to
be fixed now.
