Hey everyone,
Is it possible to login a machine with a AD user remotely ?

eg.

I've got a win2k3 server and it is a DC. There are lot of users in AD and
all my network computers are in domain. What i want is, in my win2k3 server
machine choose a machine and a user, and send the user credentials to the
machine to anyone can sit in front of it and start working.

Thanks

(sorry my english :p)

Hi:

If I am not wrong want you are asking for for a software called Terminal
Server that it is included in your copy of windows server. Let me find some
information for you:

This is an information is in Spanish, let me know it is OK. 8-)

Servicios de Terminal de Windows Server 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/spain/windowsserver2003/technologies/terminalservices/default.aspx

This is a generic guide:

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...f834fc6f7/Win2003_Teminal_Server_Lockdown.doc

This is about licensing:

No. I don't want TS.
Imagine a cybercafe...i've got a computer with no session started. A client
need to use the PC and i want to unlock it without leaving my place. So, i
want to login that computer from my PC without giving any username or
password to the client.
This is an example... but i need to do this without a cyber software :)
because i'm trying to implement this in my job and not in a cybercafe :)

You could do it with a third-party product such as WinVNC.

I dont want to control the machine remotely, i only want to start the user
session in the machine but not for me, its for the client.

Instead of client do CTRL+ALT+DEL and put the username and password, i want
to make that login by my PC.
Imagine this... i've got a machine that belongs to user001. User001 go to
vacations and user002 needs to use user001 account. To use it, he needs the
user001 account password. And that's the point... i don't want to give to
user002 the password neither to reset it and set another... what i want is
login the user001 in that machine so user002 can use it.

I realise that you do not want to control the machine
remotely. However, logging on under a WinVNC
session is one way of achieving your aim. After you've
logged on, you can close the VNC session.
