I have a Toshiba M20 running XP 2002 SP2 - Pentium M 1300 MHz. I used to use
this computer at my old employer and the built in wifi card worked fine. I
installed a home wifi network with a 2Wire router, and it no longer recieves
a signal. My newer laptop receives the signal just fine. I have checked the
hardware properties and it tells me that the device is working properly. And
yes the wifi switch is on and the indicator light is lit. Although, there is
nothing in the network connections dialog box. If I use the 2Wire Bellsouth
supplied antenna, I have no porblem connection to the internet.. The
computer has only two USB ports and I use a wireless mouse and a flash drive
so I run out of ports. At the present time, I am using a USB hub but it is
inconvientent especially when traveling. After contacting several on-line
help services, I was told that there was probably a problem with the built in
modem, so I purchased a Netgear WG511T wireless card. During the installation
the install would hang-up. I called Netgear support and was told to send it
back and contact Microsoft because there was a problem with the operating
system.

Help!
