5 simple reasons to choose Linux over Vista

,----[ Quote ]
| Without getting into much details, we shall today try and see 5 major
reasons
| why people who prefer Linux over Windows Vista do so.
|
| 1. Hardware Requirements: It’s never too much for Vista!
|
| [...]
|
| 2. Rights & Limitations: Unlike Vista, Linux doesn’t restrict how
content is
| used on a system.
|
| [...]
|
| 3. There is no Linux Genuine Advantage!

|
| 4. Security Issues: You can never miss out on this.

No! Wha…oooh…wow. Yes!

,----[ Quote ]
| Linux is, in-and-of-itself, its best sales tool, because It creates
| curiosity. As I use Ubuntu Linux people are curious and they pull
information
| from me. When I show a customer something that I created for them, and
I did
| it on linux, they want to know more.

Vista weakness could feed Linux growth

DVD Burning Problem in Windows Vista

,----[ Quote ]
| The hardware install went fine. However I soon ran into problems
| with the software install. The drive included OEM versions of Nero

Vista.
| This I'm finding is an increasingly common problem and very frustrating. I

Acer: PC industry 'disappointed' with Vista

,----[ Quote
| Acer president Gianfranco Lanci became the first major PC manufacturer to
| openly attack Microsoft over the Windows Vista operating system in the

|
| Lanci said the operating system was riddled with problems and gave
users and

Taiwan-based

The Vista Death Watch

,----[ Quote ]
| Microsoft has extended the life of Windows XP because Vista has simply
not

| really looking at Windows Me/2007, destined to be a disdained flop. By
all
| estimates the number of Vista installations hovers around the number
of Macs
| in use.
|
| How did this happen? And what’s going to happen next? Does Microsoft
have a

False.

I agree, they could have chosen a better name. MS with it's Outlook and
Outlook Express, etc. could choose better names too.

I never do that. I use the GUI all the way with no problems. Oops. In
fact, with this install of Hardy, I have yet to even open a terminal,
much less use it. You do know what CMD is in Windows, right?

> 5) Because you hate Microsoft

How can one hate Microsoft? One can dislike what it does but hate? I
have three ex wives and I don't hate them so you can be assured I am not
going to waste my emotions on hating a corporation that's seeing its
last days due to greed and a total disdain for their paying customers.

Too late, chum, it's already on the MS servers and throughout the world.
Live with it and try to get over it.

The post was completely on topic and within MS guidelines. Your
profanity and lying post is not. Ergo, you're the troll, not me, chum.

I said nothing bad about the poor. If you can't afford Vista and Office,
then you should use Linux/Open Office. Don't twist my comments. I was poor
once, but I got an education and worked my way into "not being poor"!!!

Lots of people say they hate Microsoft. I don't know about the others, go
ask them. Hundreds of people here say they hate Microsoft. Do you question
them? You do waste your time quite a bit here trying to convince people to
switch to Ubuntu and Open Office. Look at your last sentence. Seems like
you hate Microsoft.

Shame you lack the intelligence to offer factual reasons why you think
Vista is superior to Linux. Maybe because you can't? That's a pattern
often repeated in this newsgroup. Some always resort to ridicule,
because they have no facts to counter what was said.

The problem with people like you, Frank and others that endlessly
whine every time Vista is critiqued is my guess you guys do it out of
fear, anger and stupidity.

That Vista isn't such a great choice for some or that for many some
flavor of Linux or oh my God, even a Mac would be better or simply
staying with a older version of Windows or hoping against hope the
next version of Windows will correct all of Vista's flaws is simply
something you can't handle and so you need to attempt to discredit
anyone that disagrees with your narrow undocuments hyperbole.

So just like Frank, you resort to juvenile personal attacks because
you are obviously incapable of using logic or reason to make any
argument to persuade you opinions are valid.

No wonder you constantly get laughed at and end up in most people's
kill files.

Do you just *have* to remind us how impaired your sense of logic and
reading comprehension skills are?

BTW, your posts are ALL in violation of MS guidelines so that makes you
the troll while I am discussing Vista in a *general* way. Last I
checked, "sheep fukking" isn't on the sign on the door, troll.
