Why i have to use wuauclt?

I do clean install.
I ask windows to search for updates.
I install updates.
I ask windows to search for updates, again.
- It says no updates
I go to comand line and launch "wuauclt /detectnow"
- It says i got new updatesWhy i have to use wuauclt?
