am on dial-up speed, and frequently when attempting to logon to yahoo
email
using IE6, at such long waits, i notice that there appears to be
unused time
on the communication through the ISP, so i multitask by calling up
google or
some other website. then, something is poisoning my online capability
and i
cannot get any online communication. this is happening frequently
enough to
be annoying. i call it poisoning because i then cannot do any online
activity
either with IE6 or Firefox.

i have tried closing the isp link and initiating a new link, does not
help, the
online capability is gone. only rebooting will solve the problem.

am using XP pro SP2 with all the SP3 updates that MS provides.

if i allow yahoo to complete its logon without any multitasking, there
is no
problem. that is why i suspect yahoo is poisoning something.

anybody got any idea how i can circumvent this problem without having
to reboot?

Solution: don't multitask when logging on to Yahoo Mail.

You're welcome.

Your bill will be in the mail tomorrow.
