I'm using XP Home and would like to determine where the dll cache folder is
located. I thought it was in the System 32 folder, but am unable to find it.
Is it in a folder within System32? Could use some guidance. Thanks, Rick

Rick

Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings
and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is
checked and "Hide protected operating system files " is unchecked. You
may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make
certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is
not checked. Next in Windows Explorer make sure View, Details is
selected and then select View, Choose Details and check before Name,
Type, Total Size, and Free Space.

Now look again.

Hope this helps.

Hi Rick,

It is in the System32 folder, but you will need to set your folder options
to "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating
system files" in order to see it.

Thanks, Gerry, I knew it had to be something simple. Forgot about unlocking
the hidden files. Rick

You're welcome :-)

I see that Gerry answered just moments before I did, and it was very
courteous of you to respond to each of us.
