I've tried many fixes but I still always get this notice every time I try to download a PDF file, with my Windows XP: "PAVA-5524918-40-96bc8c71-3ad4-46cb-be83-ea0c6eb54802.pdf virus scan failed" . Sometimes it will let me save it to another location like the desktop, but then sometimes when I do that it doesn't show up as a PDF and won't open.
I've tried changing the registry editor to modify the attachment to ScanWithAntiVirus to 1
I've tried going into Internet Properties and changing the security settings
I've tried uninstalling old anti-virus software like Macaffe (although I'm not sure I got it all), and Microsoft Security Essentials when that ended for XP; and installed PCMatic.
Not working :-( ... please help!
