Yesterday while listening to music just fine, I got a pop up from
Apple saying there is a new version of itunes and asked if I wanted
to
update. So of course I said yes. Well now ever since the update ALL
my
audio sounds weird. It sounds like a high pitched robot voice when
people talk and all my music sounds sped up. I tried uninstalling and
reinstalling and just uninstalling. Any one know what would cause
this? I NEED MY MUSIC :-)

Thanks

Ok so in case anyone else has this happen, I uninstalled my Realtek
audio driver and reinstalled and all is fine now. THANKS

Look through the Itunes configuration options for its default sound output
settings. I ran into the same scenario once upon a time. IIRC Itunes is
tied in closely with QuickTime so the setting you need might be in Quicktime
preferencs Sound Out options rather than in Itunes itself. If Directsound is
selected try changing to WaveOut instead.
