Considering that it is difficult if not impossible to get XP to change
device IRQs, that advice from Logitech sounds a bit like a runaround.
You can see in XP's System Information which devices are sharing the IRQ
with your USB controller(s). I have 6 other devices sharing an IRQ with one
of my USB controllers and whatever I tried XP always put them back together
on the same IRQ.
Here is a page from Logitech US describing computer chipsets that can cause
your exact problem and some possible fixes. Intel isn't supposed to be one
of the problematic ones. In case the link doesn't work the article has
Answer ID 834, from the Logitech US Troubleshooting site. Since the chipset
is Intel it may end up that the last suggestion (an add-in USB card) on the
page will be the one you need.
